Dan Lao Company (or Rattan Processing Factory in Vientiane province) is located in Nonsavanh village, Viengkham district, Vientiane province.  It was established in January 2, 1993 and so far has 60-70 staff.  The factory processes high quality raw rattan into finished and semi-finished furniture. The raw material of approximately 200,000 rattan culms comes from the community-managed forests, which is in the process of getting FSC.

The finished indoor products range from sofa sets, interior deco items, office furniture to souvenir items.  The company also accepts orders for customized items.  The semi-finished products are parts of dining sets or other items as customers order.  The company’s show room, which is located in Phoxay village, Sisattanak district, Vientiane Capital, is open every day.  The products are sold at affordable price.  With the confidence in its high quality and unique designs, besides the US market, in 2009, Dan Lao aims at bringing its quality products to the European market as well.
